AgreeMeet the nurses, clinical associates, doctors, and mental health professionals. All dedicated to providing quality, affordable care.
All our clinicians are SANC and HPCSA-registered.
Your first consultation varies based on whether you need physical or mental health care.
Physical health:
- Start with an accredited nurse for advice, treatment plans, and over-the-counter medication referrals.
- If more specialised care is needed, we’ll transfer you to a doctor seamlessly.
- A Standard Consultation costs R235, covering both nurse and doctor consultations. It’s the same for consultations for children over two years old.
We also offer Express Consultations for R120, covering:
- Contraception renewal
- Thrush treatment
- Hay fever treatment
If your condition requires more care, we can transfer you to a Standard Consultation (R235).
Mental health:
- A Mental Health Consultation costs R235, providing advice and counselling for anxiety, depression, stress, and more.
- If necessary, you may be referred to a doctor at no additional cost.
We provide prescriptions, sick notes, and referrals as needed.
Medical services Kena Health can provide:
- Physical health consultations: Our nurses and doctors treat non-emergency conditions such as colds, flu, skin conditions, digestive issues, and more.
- Mental health support: Our registered therapists offer counselling and advice for anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and self-improvement.
- Express Consultations: We provide quick consultations for contraception renewal, thrush, and hay fever treatments.
- Prescriptions: We can prescribe medications for many conditions, including repeat prescriptions for ongoing care.
- Sick notes and referrals: We offer sick notes and referrals to specialists or other medical services when needed.
Services Kena Health cannot provide:
- Emergency medical care: We do not handle life-threatening emergencies. Please visit a hospital for urgent care.
- Surgical procedures: We do not perform surgeries or invasive medical procedures.
- Specialised care: While we offer referrals, we do not provide in-depth specialist treatments for complex conditions like cancer or heart disease.
- High-schedule medications: Kena Health does not prescribe medications classified as Schedule 5 (S5) or higher, including controlled substances. Due to regulations, these require an in-person consultation.
For non-emergency needs, Kena Health offers accessible online care through text, voice or video consultations with nurses, doctors, and mental health professionals.
A Standard Consultation on Kena Health costs R235. This includes a session with a nurse or mental health professional. If your condition requires a doctor’s input during the session, we will transfer you to a Kena Health doctor at no extra charge.
We also offer Express Consultations for specific services like contraception renewal, thrush treatment, and hay fever treatment at R120.
