In a prestigious ceremony held on the 9th of November, Kena Health clinched the coveted MTN App of the Year and Best Health App 2023 awards, underscoring its significant contribution to addressing primary and mental healthcare challenges in South Africa.
Saul Kornik, the CEO and founder of Kena Health, was elated at the recognition. Kornik emphasised the app's overarching objective of reducing healthcare costs while seamlessly connecting users with professional clinical teams at an affordable rate.

Launched in 2022, the app has earned acclaim with over 300,000 downloads. The Kena Health app offers consultations and facilitates access to medical documents. It stands out for delivering quality care at affordable prices, backed by substantial investments that fuel its ongoing growth. The Kena Health app allows users to consult online with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and counsellors, from the convenience of their smartphones for no more than R185 per consultation. With the Kena Health app, a doctor and therapist are always nearby.
In addition to online doctor and therapy consultations, the app provides access to essential medical documents such as sick notes, prescriptions, and referrals with Express services.
